Cabinet Secretary for Education and Lifelong Learning, Michael Russell MSP, has sent a special message to visitors to the Scots Language Centre. Commenting on the SLC's programme for St Andrew's Day, Russell said, "I'm delighted that the Scots Language Centre is celebrating St Andrew's Day by highlighting Scotland's diverse cultures and international connections. Scots have always been outward looking and have made an enormous contribution to world culture. The range of Scots songs and poems in the SLC's St Andrew's Day programme provides evidence of that. I would commend what the Centre is doing to celebrate Scotsland's cultures and would like to take this chance to wish "A Happy St Andrew's Day" to visitors to its web site."
