Calling dialect writers!

17th December 2013

Evertype Online Publishers are looking for writers experienced in the dialects of (1) East Central Scotland, and (2) Glasgow.

Some time ago Evertype launched a project to translate parts of Alices Adventures in Wonderland into many languages and their respective dialects, including the Scots language.

So far, some dialects of Scots, such as North East (Doric) and Shetland, have produced wonderful versions of the story, but now Evertype is calling on writers to come forward and take up the challenge for East Central and Glasgwegian.

In particular, Evertype would like to hear from anyone who could produce a version in the northern form of East Central Scots thats the region which covers Fife, Stirlingshire and Angus and Perth west of Dundee.

They would also like to hear from anyone who is skilled in the urban dialect of Glasgow. If you would like to suggest yourself as a candidate, please contact general editor Jon Lindseth for more details at jalindseth@aol.com
