Sangschaw 2015

There are still a couple of weeks for budding writers in Scots to enter Sangschaw 2015. The Sangschaw meaning a display of singing and writing in Scots is a 

competition run each year by the Scots Language Society and is the Scots language
equivalent to the Scottish Gaelic Mod or Welsh Eisteddfod.

There are three tassies (cups or trophies) to be won as well as 100 winners prize and 50 to runners-up. Entrants may offer a piece of prose writing up to 3000 words, or a poem or piece of drama up to 60 lines.

Each entry costs 5 to enter or three entries together for 10. Any work
submitted must be previously unpublished. Please ensure that your name and
address are submitted on a paper separate from any pieces of work. If you would
like to enter please send your entries to Sangschaw, c/o 6 Dryden Palce,
Edinburgh EH9 1RP by the deadline of Saturday 31 January 2015. For more
