The song writing competition Nòs Ùr (‘New Style’) has recently been launched for 2016. Writers, singers and groups are invited to submit new songs in either Gaelic or Scots which will be judged by a panel. The winning artist or group will receive £1000 to record their song and it will be professionally arranged and made available for iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify and Google Play. The winning song will also be included in the Scotland Sings workshops in October 2016.

Entrants must either be Scottish born or Scottish based and aged 16 or over. The closing date for submissions is Friday 29 April 2016 and all submissions must be made online by filling out an application form at https://projects.handsupfortrad.scot/scotlandsings/nos-ur/  .
