The Centre for Robert Burns Studies and the University of Ulster have teamed up to hold a symposium called 'Back to the Mother Country? : The Impact of Ulster-Scots Writing on Scotland 1750-2013'. There will be six speakers who set out to challenge the idea that cultural and other influence was one-way from Scotland to Ulster. This event will be held in the Senate Room, University of Glasgow, and will run from 9.30am until 5pm.
