Songs of Sheriffmuir

21st August 2015

Three hundred years ago this year (13 November) the battle of Sheriffmuir was fought. Before the battle the Jacobite officers stayed at the old mill of Kinbuck near the River Allan. To commemorate this event local singer Paraig MacNeil will be performing traditional songs in both the Gaelic and Scots languages, the Scots songs being derived from Hoggs Jacobite Relics. You can hear Paraig at The Centre (old school), Kinbuck, Dunblane, 7.30-9.30pm on Friday 21 August. There will be refreshments. Entry is at the door by a minimum donation of 2.
