Over the last couple of decades an increasing number of gifts and products have appeared that take the Scots language as a theme, from greeting cards to posters, and books to clothes and mugs. Now a Scots calendar had been produced by Edinburgh-based company Indy Prints. Established by graphic designer and illustrator Stewart Bremner, the company produces locally made prints with a Scottish theme.

The Scots language has a long and colourful history whose origins stretches back well over a thousand years. Part of its colour isn't just the glorious words, but also the unique sayings.
