FRLSU Conference October 2021

11th March 2021

The triennial conference of the Forum for Research on the Languages of Scotland and Ulster will be held online from 28th to 30th October this year and hosted by the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Germany. Budding contributors should now take note of the call for papers. The conference will welcome papers on any aspect of the languages spoken in Scotland and the nine counties of Ulster, but particular interest will be taken of research on these languages in a global context both in past and contemporary times.

Researchers interested in taking part should submit abstracts for twenty minute papers which also allow ten minutes discussion afterwards. Abstracts should be no longer than 300 words and should be submitted both as (a) a Word document and (b) as a PDF file through Easy Abs no later than the deadline of Monday 31 May 2021. The abstracts should be anonymous.

For more information about the conference, or further guidance concerning the above, please contact the organisers by e-mail at frlsu21-munich@anglistik.uni-muenchen.de addressed to Lead Organiser Christine Elsweiler.
