Scots Symposium

The College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Edinburgh is hosting a one day symposium on the Scots language called Scots@Ed which will take place from 9.15 am until 17.00pm on Saturday 25 January 2020.

The symposium aims to bring together a variety of people from academic and non-academic backgrounds to raise awareness of, and cultivate interest in, the Scots language. A series of speakers will give short talks on their work and how they promote Scots and there will be a panel discussion towards the end of the day. Catering will also be available.

The symposium will be held at the Project Room, 1.06, 50 George Square, Edinburgh. At time of writing tickets appear to be sold out but please contact Scotsated@ed.ac.uk for more information and confirmation of speakers. Speakers confirmed are as follows:
