Dorothy and Evelyn were children during World War Two, here they share memories of Perth at that that time, the years just after War ended and some of the characters they knew. As they talk we see images from the Soutar House in Perth, where the poet William Soutar died in 1943.

As a very young child, Dorothy McLaughlin was taken to visit the Perth poet William Soutar at his home in Wilson Street, Perth. Here she remembers the visit, the family connection and we can see images of the Soutar House today.

Ron Kitchin talks about his connection to the family of the Perth poet William Soutar and about the bookcases originally made for the poet's bedroom. Inherited by Ron's father, Ron eventually donated these bookcases back to the Soutar House in Perth.
