Education Scotland have recently published a report, entitled ‘Scots language in Curriculum for Excellence: enhancing skills in literacy, developing successful learners and confident individuals’, which outlines the benefits of learning Scots.

The report affirms that using Scots can engage learners, raise confidence and enhance literacy skills and will be of interest to anyone who is interested in the teaching and learning of Scots in the classroom. It supports the range of teaching resources and guidance already produced by Education Scotland.
