The Angus McIntosh Centre for Historical Linguistics, at the University of Edinburgh, has recently advertised two posts for postdoctoral research assistants to investigate diversity in the Scots language during the period 1380-1500. The project, named From Inglis to Scots (or FITS for short) is funded by the AHRC. Successful candidates should hold a PhD in, and have relevant experience of, a discipline related to study in this area. The two posts are full time, fixed at 38 months, and commencing 18 August 2014. Salary ranges from 30,728 to 36,661 per annum.
