Find the hidden Scots words 

Children must find the words (in the list) on the grid.

If using a PC, children can click and drag from the beginning to the end of the word. If using a touch screen device, children can touch the letters and drag from the beginning to the end of the word. Words can be vertical, horizontal or diagonal. Children can click on the word in the list to see its definition. 

This activity is suitable for learners working within CfE levels 1, 2, 3 and 4; allowing learners to demonstrate their ability to use strategies to determine the meaning of unfamiliar words.  This may also be suitable for some learners in the Senior Phase.
