Lallans Journal

Lallans, the only periodical entirely in Scots, is published twice annually by the Scots Language Society with money from the Scottish Arts Council. The first number came out in 1973, making Lallans one of the longest running literary magazines in Scotland. It features poems, short stories, essays and reviews from a wide variety of writers, ranging from popular culture and literary criticism to history and politics. The latest edition of Lallans is number 79, Christmas 2011.
