Ulster Scots Job at NI Assembly
The Northern Ireland Assembly has recently advertised the post of Assistant Editor (Ulster Scots), which is a permanent post. Applicants are invited to apply and must have at least one year (gained within the last 5 years) of parliamentary reporting or have experience of editorial work in both English and Ulster Scots. In addition, it is expected the successful candidate will have the ability to provide simultaneous interpretation from Ulster Scots into English. As part of the job, the candidate will be expected to edit transcripts of Assembly debates, in both of the languages, and make information available for publication. The deadline for applications is noon on Friday 3 October 2008.
