Newly revised History of Scots
Categorised in:
Scots Language Dictionaries have announced that a newly revised section has been added to their website. For visitors wishing to learn more about the history of the Older Scots language, Dr Caroline Macafee has written "A History of Scots to 1700". This is a very comprehensive, well-illustrated article based partly upon research by the late A.J.Aitken, and deals with the characteristics of Older Scots, phonology, grammar, and political history too.
