Trouble in the Tolbooth

A play in Scots written by William Maconachie will be performed at Saughtonhall church in Edinburgh by members of the Saughtonhall Drama Group. Called 'Trouble in the Tolbooth' this comedy is set in a tolbooth at the end of the 18th century during which "The prisoners' level of incompetence at planning their escape is only matched by the ineffectiveness of their jailor." Performances start at 7.30pm with an additional performance at 2.30pm on Saturday afternoon. Tickets are £.700 (£6.00 concession) and can be obtained from www.saughtonhall.com or through the Edinburgh Fringe on 0131 539 0491. Saughtonhall church is at 87 Saughtonhall Drive, Edinburgh.
