Scottish Poetry Library collects and catalogues Scottish poetry in Scots, Gaelic and English, with an emphasis on contemporary writing. All of the Library's holdings are available to the public, either by visiting the library at its base in Edinburgh, or through their lending service. Books can be lent by post, making this one of the most useful sites for people needing access to books in Scots.

Itchy Coo is the main publisher of children's books in Scots. A collaboration between Black & White Publishing and the writers Matthew Fitt and James Robertson, Itchy Coo aims to respond to the growing need for books that can be used in schools, from nursery level up. In addition, Itchy Coo endeavours to provide support for teachers, both through visiting schools themselves, and through publishing teachers' notes and other materials through their website.
