Hello tae aw, an walcome tae ma blog. Here ye'll fin ma thochts, haivers, wee picturs I think wurdy o pittin on here etc. I ettle tae post a blog ilka week; aiblins mair aften, aiblens less. Maistly they'll be anent Scots an Scots issues, but no aye.

Sae...wha on eirth am I, that ye micht be in the least wee bit interestit?

Frankly, naebody. I'm no an academic, I'm no a published screiver. I'm no a notit public figure, an I'm no weil kent face tae onieane forbye ma freins.

Whit I am is a bodie wi luve fer Scotland an Scotland's cultur an leids, an white'er wee bit thing I can dae tae promote thir things I haud dear, I wull dae.

On a less abstrack level, ma name is Duncan Sneddon, an I byde in Edinburgh. I'm on a gap year the nou, haein finissed wi schuil last simmer. In September I wull be gaein to the Varsity o Edinburgh tae study Celtic & Scottish History, sae gin ye see a lang haired, ledder clad bodie stotterin about Edinburgh's auld buik shops hauf dernit by a muckle pile o Scots history buiks it micht weil be me.

Forbye the things notit abuin, I'm interestit in muisic (fowk, metal, fowk-metal...er...blues, rock, The Beatles) an I play guitar an bass. Like maist Scots, I like fitbaw an hae a season ticket at Airdrie United. I read an screive a tait, aften on the Scots Wikipedia.

Weil, I jalouse that's enou information anent masel fer ye tae get a fair pictur o me, sae I'll caw it quits fer the nou, an jist say fairfaw, keip ye weil, an haste ye back tae ma blog (probably ilka Friday) fer mair haivers.

Tip o the week - gae ontae YouTube an check out the sang "Om hundrede Aar er alting glemt" by the Norrowegian baund Lumsk. It's a rare, bonnie tuin wi the leirics taen frae an auld poem by the Norrowegian makar Knut Hamsun.

That's aw, fowks, God bless.

Duncan
