Downdie

Sam Speirs of Whitburn West Lothian has written and recorded many songs over the years, and in 2015 he released an album called Downdie. A Downdie is the name given to a person from Whitburn and in this track Faither, Sam provides an example of the West Lothian dialect of the Scots Language. Our thanks go to Sam for giving permission to share this track.

DOWNDIE CD's are available here: https://samspeirs.bandcamp.com

Sam also has an album available on iTunes called Whit Burns - a 2016 arrangement and performance of ten Robert Burns songs.

Further information about Sam can be found on Facebook, Twitter @SamSpeirs, Soundcloud and Youtube.
