New Collection from Hershaw

Fifeshire-based teacher and well known Scots language poet William Hershaw will be launching his new collection of poems at the beginning of June. Called Postcairds fae Woodwick Mill, with illustrations by Brendan McCluskey, the book will be launched at Canons Gait Cellar Bar, High Street, Edinburgh, at 7pm on Wednesday 3 June 2015. This latest work from Hershaw is a collection of poems in Scots set in Orkney and in tribute to the late renowned poet George Mackay Brown who brought much deserved acclaim to the literary output of the islands. The book will be available for sale on the night priced 7.50, with a complimentary CD at the launch. David Hershaw will also accompany the verse with music.
