Story of first Scots Dictionary published
Susan Rennie has been a long time friend of the Scots language. Her work as an academic, author and lexicographer has brought Rennie into contact with John Jamieson's, Etymological Dictionary of the Scottish Language and in her latest book, Jamieson's Dictionary of Scots, Rennie interweaves biography, lexicography and social history in this first account of the making of Jamieson's remarkable work. The book can be purchased from Oxford University Press.
