News From The Dictionaries

Scottish Language Dictionaries have recently announced that core government funding has been secured for their ongoing work.  The Dictionaries are currently working on a new edition of the Concise Scots Dictionary and an updated online dictionary of the Scots language. In addition, a new updated Scuilwab has been launched. The Dictionaries are also taking part in the Scots Words and Place-Names Project (SWAP) based at the University of Glasgow. The new website for this will be launched on 21^st June. Elaine Webster, who is the Education and Outreach Officer, was recently awarded a Professional Recognition Award for Scots Language.
