News From The Dictionaries
Scottish Language Dictionaries have recently announced that core government funding has been secured for their ongoing work. The Dictionaries are currently working on a new edition of the Concise Scots Dictionary and an updated online dictionary of the Scots language. In addition, a new updated Scuilwab has been launched. The Dictionaries are also taking part in the Scots Words and Place-Names Project (SWAP) based at the University of Glasgow. The new website for this will be launched on 21st June. Elaine Webster, who is the Education and Outreach Officer, was recently awarded a Professional Recognition Award for Scots Language.
