Research on Public Attitudes to the Scots Language

The results of a government funded survey show a huge level of support for the Scots language along with widespread usage.

Launched at the 2010 Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow the survey shows 85% of respondents claiming to use Scots. The survey shows that the majority of people in Scotland have positive attitudes to the language and feel it is an important part of Scottish life.
